Profile Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our team specializing in the automotive plastic domain. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality plastic components for automotive applications. Your role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all designs meet performance, safety, and aesthetic standards, while also optimizing for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop concept section of IP Assembly / Cockpit Assembly.
- Input to Styling team to develop next level of feasible style.
- Position and Package modules as per feasibility and Packaging requirement.
- Should able to design and develop Automotive Plastic Components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet quality and functionality standards.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed component drawings and specifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies and ensure manufacturability of designs.
- Perform design validation and testing to ensure durability and performance.
Requirements
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 or UG-NX for part modeling, surfacing, assembly, and technical drawings.
- Experience in the automotive industry with a focus on automotive plastic product design.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate design concepts and project updates clearly.
- Strong understanding of plastic materials and manufacturing processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
