Profile Summary
We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer specializing in complete automotive seating systems. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing all components of seating assemblies, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and aesthetic standards. Your expertise will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to create innovative seating solutions, optimizing designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness. You will also conduct thorough quality checks and assessments throughout the design process. Proficiency in CAD software and a strong understanding of automotive seating requirements are essential for delivering high-quality complete seating solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for Complete Seat design in NX and/ or Catia V5 , Customer requirements and Manufacturing feasibilities
- Ensuring customer satisfaction through better Quality and On-time delivery of work
- Coordinate with other Product Groups (Good communication skills)
- Knowledge of Vehicle interface, Complete seat Packaging, Layouts, Regulatory Requirements
- Good Understanding on Component Interfaces like Foam, Plastics & Trim
- Knowledge of GD&T, Tolerance stack, DFMEA, Bill of Material
- Knowledge of Problem-Solving tools, PUGH Analysis, 5Why & 8D
- Basic Knowledge of various Materials & manufacturing Process
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work with Sketches, Part Modeling / Solid Modeling, Drawings.
- Basic knowledge Surface Modelling.
- Good Skills to work with Assemblies, Sectioning, Kinematics.
- Knowledge of PLM/ Team Center
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
